Camp Beehive

A very unique Tiny A-Frame Cabin that sleeps two.

Here are some things that make Camp Beehive a unique glamping experience:

  • The View – The Beehive’s deck is right at the edge of the lake and offers a fantastic view of the Lake and the woods. And you can see Cadillac Mountain across the lake from the deck.
  • The Bed – The Beehive features a double bed with a hybrid mattress, crisp, clean sheets, and cozy duvet. We also have a crib, a high chair, and a pack-and-play available.
  • The Bathroom – The Beehive has an ensuite bathroom with hot water and a real flush toilet. And the enclosed (private) outdoor shower is on the deck with a fantastic view of the lake.
  • The Location – We are close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor yet far enough away to avoid the crowds, traffic, and noise.
  • Connectivity – Although we are deep in the woods there is very good 5G cellular data service available.
  • Cooking – The outdoor kitchen, which is in a common area, features a gas grill, a stovetop, and a microwave. We provide pots, pans and cooking utensils and plates, cups, and eating utensils.
  • Nightly Campfire -The campfire ring with comfortable Adirondack chairs is adjacent to the outdoor kitchen area. There is no need to bring or buy firewood, we have plenty.

We do not allow dogs or animals of any kind. It is a safety issue. There is a risk of an interaction with wildlife in the area.

Please note that Camp Beehive is about 250 feet down a gravel path from the parking area (and just steps from the edge of the lake) so you cannot park right next to the cabin. We have a luggage cart/wagon available if needed.

Glamping Downeast is in Maine’s great outdoors so be prepared to accept the inherent risk of your adventure including wildlife, insects, and unpredictable conditions (we can’t control weather). Come with an adventurous and open mind, and some bug spray.
